Foundation Staff

Casey Lewis, Lead Pastor

I have been married to my beautiful wife Amy since 2006 and the Lord has blessed us with three wonderful Children Addyson, Colby, and Alyssa. I received my Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 2008 and a B.B.A. from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX in 2004.  In the early mornings you can find me running and working out. In the evenings I am playing with the family and drinking coffee. My desire  everyday is to know Jesus, Glorify Jesus and to become more and more like Him! A verse that I have come to understand more clearly is Mark 1:17. Jesus said “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” If we are following Jesus He will change our hearts to fish for men and make disciples!  God’s children will share the Good News !! As a Pastor my heart is to see every age group on mission for the Lord Jesus Christ.  My prayer is that the Lord will use Foundation Baptist Church everyday to Reach one more with the Gospel, Teach one more God’s word and Release one more to go and multiply all for God’s Glory!!!

Travis Sampson, Worship Leader

Music has always been a driving force in my life. Since I was little I can never remember a time when it wasn’t a passion. I realized early on that this gift was from God and longed to give something back in worship. I can remember my youth director in high school seeing something in me and asking me to “help him” lead youth services. Little did I know that God would use him to light a fire within me to use what God has given for Him. I have been leading worship in some form or fashion ever since. I graduated from Baylor University in 1994 with a BM. in Music Composition. I traveled after college leading worship for the Southern Baptist Convention through World Changers. I began leading worship as a bi-vocational minister in 1999. I have been teaching music in GCISD for over 18 years. My wife, Christie and I have 3 wonderful boys: Collin (11), Chandler (6), and Landry (4), affectionately known as the “sons of thunder.” My passion is to lead God’s people to the throne of grace, seeing lives changed as they encounter a holy God and to live a life worthy of being called Christ-like.

John Dean, Student Leader

The passion of my heart is to effectively communicate the Word of God in love to students and their families so that they might grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ and better understand what it means to be a child of God. This will be accomplished through prayer, loving students, building relationships, studying as well as teaching God’s Word, and by living a life that models Christ. I believe that parents are first and foremost the spiritual leaders of the home, and that any youth ministry must be united with parents in the spiritual formation of the students’ life. In my ten plus years of ministry to students, I have come to believe that students are uniquely gifted and should be affirmed as participants in the body of Christ. I have witnessed God use students to do amazing things, and bring glory to the name of Christ. While the teen years can be exhaustive with the work load put on students these days, they should not be years that are wasted chasing man’s idea of success. There must be a balance in students’ lives which includes Scripture memorization, studying God’s Word, as well as outlets for using their God given talents; to help them say with Paul: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘the just shall live by faith.” -Romans 1:16-17
